REINFORCED BOTTOM BAR

The Fortress Bottom bars are designed with internal support cavities to help minimize bowing on longer shades during windy conditions.

Heavy Duty: This bottom bar is our strongest bottom bar. It is comprised of 1 weight cavity along with 2 additional reiforcement cavities to give it strength and weight. Its primary use is for shade 12 ft and up.

Dual Cavity: This bottom bar is used for shades 12ft and under. The dual cavities allow for additional weight in the bar to assist the shade for smooth deployment. This cavity is excellent for narrow shades.

The Fortress Keder track system is the strongest on the market and designed for maximum durability and smooth operation. The inner track has flexibility which allows for smooth deployment during windy conditions. The all-aluminum track insert has no wearing parts. It is also designed with rubberized springs that ensure quiet operation.

RECESSED TRACK

For a seamless, built-in look, the Fortress offers a recessed track system, designed to be installed during the construction phase of your patio. By integrating the tracks pre-construction, you achieve a sleek, flush finish that blends perfectly into your structure.

Here at Shade Connection, we say NO to zippers. The Fortress is designated as “4K” – Keder on all 4 sides of the fabric. Keder is superior to zipper in strength. Zipper retention systems struggle with high winds. The Fortress is built for strength and longevity. We use a double flap Keder for maximum durability to withstand extreme weather conditions. The 16 ft Fortress was tested up to winds of 110 MPH (Category 2 Hurricane)

Each corner at the bottom of the screen is welded, glued and sewn for maximum reinforcement. The triple strength design eliminates the weakness that other systems experience.

The Fortress extrusions are all heavy-duty and made in the USA! We have 3 sizes to fit your application! They range anywhere from 3ft – 25ft in width and up to 16ft in height! If your project requires something outside our standard sizes, we are always up for a challenge.

Our Shade Fit Technology is superior. As we customize your shade, we cut your shade on a bias to fit the slope of your patio. This will allow a flush-to-the-ground fit. When the shade is raised, the Fortress automatically levels the bottom bar with the housing when the shade is in the up position without wrinkling!
